Our Help in Weekness

Over the last couple of days through my journey of getting “Back to Basics” I am constantly reminded and reading things that lead me back to the Holy Spirit! He is our counselor, helper, guidance leader to see us through as we walk our journey. Lean and depend on His direction!

 Take the time to read through the following devotions from Intouch.org in the Early Light devotions.

Our Help in Weakness

READ | John 14:16-17 (NASB)
Role of the Spirit
16“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another (A)Helper, that He may be with you forever;
 17that is (B)the Spirit of truth, (C)whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

On the Holy Spirit

“The Holy Spirit’s power can’t be harnessed … [or] used to accomplish anything other than the Father’s will. He is not a candy dispenser. He is not a vending machine. He is not a genie waiting for someone to rub His lamp the right way. He is holy God.”
                                                                                          – Charles F. Stanley

“The renewal of our natures is a work of great importance. It is not to be done in a day. We have not only a new house to build up, but an one to pull down.”
                                                                                          – George Whitefield

Our Help in Prayer

READ | Romans 8:26-27 (NASB)
Our Victory in Christ
26In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for (A)we do not know how to pray as we should, but (B)the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
 27and (C)He who searches the hearts knows what (D)the mind of the Spirit is, because He (E)intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

The Divinely Inspired Book

READ | 2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NASB)
 14You, however, (A)continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
 15and that (B)from childhood you have known (C)the sacred writings which are able to (D)give you the wisdom that leads to (E)salvation through faith which is in (F)Christ Jesus.
 16(G)All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
 17so that (H)the man of God may be adequate, (I)equipped for every good work.

Remember, God can work through us and He gives us the Holy Spirit to reveal His ways to us! Have faith, trust, and believe He will see through.
Be Blessed, HL
