The Basics: A positive attitude yields positive results – a negative attitude yields the opposite.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
– Colossians 3:2 NKJV
Those who are pure in their thinking are happy, because they will be with God.
– Matthew 5:8 NCV
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
– Philippians 4:8 NASB
A Basic Tip: Attitudes are contagious, so it’s important to associate with people who are upbeat, optimistic, and encouraging.
I became aware of one very important concept I had missed before: my attitude – not my circumstances – was what was making me unhappy.
Our attitude can help us to thrive and succeed or fail. Having the right attitude is a choice, that sometimes I even forget I have the option to change it. We can all make the decision to be happy or to be angry and mad. Too often people spend their days worrying over the past, and not letting go of the bad times; take some advice from the Good News and thing (dwell) on these things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute… Find the positive in every a negative situation. Focus and seek God, stay in His Word, and prayer will help us all to have the right attitude.
