Principles 10 & 11

Principle 10

Celebration

The Basics: God has given you the gift of life (here on earth) and the promise of eternal life (in heaven). Now, He wants you to celebrate those gifts.

Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him!
                                                                                 – Philippians 4:4 MSG

A happy heart is like a continual feast.
                                                                                 – Proverbs 15:15 NCV

This is the day which the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
                                                                                 – Psalm 118:24 NASB

A Basic Tip: Don’t overlook God’s gifts. Every sunrise represents yet another beautifully wrapped gift from God. Unwrap it; treasure it; use it; and give thanks to the Giver.

All our life is a celebration for us; we are convinced, in fact, that God is always everywhere. We sing while we work . . . we pray while we carry out all life’s other occupations.
                                                                                 St. Clement of Alexandria

Further Study: Celebration
Time to rejoice, not weep          –   Nehemiah 8:9-10
Celebrate Freedom                      –   Isaiah 48:20 CEV

Celebrate, shout                            –   Zephaniah 3:14 CEV

Principle 11

Cheerfulness

The Basics: Cheerfulness is its own reward – but not its ownly reward.

Be cheerful. Keep things in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmoney. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure.
                                                                                 – 2 Corinthians 13:11 MSG

Do everything readily and cheerfully – no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and pollutted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light – giving Message into the night.
                                                                                 – Philippians 2:14-15 MSG

The cheerful heart has a continual feast.
                                                                                 – Proverbs 15:15 NIV

A Basic Tip: Do you need a little cheering up? Cheer up somebody else. When you brighten somebody else’s day, you brighten up your own day, too.

The people whom I have seen succeed best in life have always been cheerful and hopeful people who went about their business with a smile on their faces.
                                                                                 Charles Kingsley

Take the time to celebrate the goodness in your life. . . every moment in your life. And celebrate it with cheerfulness!
Be Blessed, HL
