I normally complete the studies I do with Good Morning Girls in a group on Facebook, but unfortunately some of us are having technical issues and being blocked out of our groups unable to post with the members and fellowship 😦 Therefore I’m turning here, and hope to keep up with posting my journey over the next eight weeks. Bear with me as this first post will be longer then normal because I can’t bring myself to not start at the beginning 😉
Chapter 1 – He Calls Us Beloved
There are several things in this chapter that jumped off the page to me, helping me to understand even more just how much God does love each and everyone of us!
God is mindful of our own limitations, and yet He still loves us.
He completely gets us… knowing all about all things before they even come! Wrapping my mind around this is exciting & I’m so gracious but this can also be frightening or even upsetting at times. But we’re not capable to fully understand all of God or His ways, just think if we did – then why would we need Him — just as we so greatly do!
When I think of raising my own boys and how much I love them… it reminds me just how much God loves me & to think, try to comprehend, He loves so much more then I’m capable of! He created me just as I am and knew me and what I’d do before I do it… this is not an excuse to mess up – as we’re to live for Him as He desires, not as this world lives, we’re to be set apart, different. I pray I stand up to what He desires for me too and I’m thankful I’m able to go to him when I stumble for His Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness!

Reading: Psalm 139; SOAP v7-10
S: There are so many verses within this Scripture that spoke to me that I didn’t just SOAP the requested ones…
1 O LORD, you have examined me, and you know me.
4 Even before there is a single word on my tongue,
you know all about it, LORD.
7 Where can I go to get away from your Spirit?
Where can I run to get away from you?
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there.
If I make my bed in hell, you are there.
9 If I climb upward on the rays of the morning sun
or land on the most distant shore of the sea where the sun sets,
10 even there your hand would guide me
and your right hand would hold on to me.
11 If I say, “Let the darkness hide me
and let the light around me turn into night,”
12 even the darkness is not too dark for you.
Night is as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.
16 Your eyes saw me when I was only a fetus.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book
before one of them had taken place.
24 See whether I am on an evil path.
Then lead me on the everlasting path.
O: God is omnipresent! All knowing
v.1 He’s examined me and knows everything about me.
v4 even before I speak He knows my thoughts
v7-10 There is no where I can go that He is not, as He is everywhere. And He guides me and holds me!!
v11-12 I cannot even hide in the darkness because its like light to Him
v16 He knows everyday of my life
v24 He’ll guide me to the everlasting path
A: I understand that God is amazingly everywhere, able to know all things. v4 has always jumped out to me when I read this Psalm, as I pray to overcome depression and negativity. But He knew these things (v16) even before they come. My focus needs to be on His presence to get me through each day, each moment, because we cannot go anywhere or hide from Him (v7-10). Allow Him to guide me, not falling for the lures of this earth, but staying close to Him to walk the everlasting path into eternity with Him. Lean on the Holy Spirit.
P: Father God, thank You for knowing me, for Your patience, and for loving me. I pray to please you in all that I do…
Help me to understand, grasp fully that You can overcome the negativity within me and remind me of facts that You created me to be just who I am, You can make me positive and whole, healed and peaceful. Thank You, Thank You In Jesus’ sweet name we come!

Reading: Romans 8:35-39; SOAP v37-39
37 The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties. 38 I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love which Christ Jesus our Lord shows us.[a] We can’t be separated by death or life, by angels or rulers, by anything in the present or anything in the future, by forces 39 or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation.
O: The One who loves us – God Loves Us!! He gives us victory over all these difficulties – What difficulties? Look back at v35, 36: trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or violent death… He gives us victory over all these things, we’re sought after to be slaughtered like sheep and He’ll save us! And look forward to v38, 39: we can’t be separated by death or life, angels or rulers, anything in the present or future, forces or powers in this world or by anything else in creation. We are His!
Be convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love which Christ showed us!
A: Just as a parent tries to protect their children from all things, God does just that. We may go through troubles, difficulties and awful things, but He is with us and will help us through them all. Lean on Him.
