    Book Reviews

I love to read and review books and have a very broad range of genre interests. Reading and reviewing Advanced Review Copies is also something that I greatly enjoy and am always more than happy to do. I express my opinions openly and love to share the great new books and authors that I come across. I am more than thrilled to do reviews for any author and/or publisher. About

I am a sinner – saved by His grace!! Making me a child of God, doing my best to walk this journey as He wants & denying my flesh it’s own desires… oh how hard it is. But I remind myself, I can do all things through Christ who’s strengthens me! Thank You Father for sharing Your grace with me, having patience with me… then & still.

I’m a Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend trying to walk as close to God as as I can & stumbling sometimes and greatly appreciate His grace and mercy to pick me back up when I do! Professionally I am a Photographer’s Assistant, editing photo’s with Photoshop & other programs and continue on the side with my Elder Companion Care-giving business!

HL’s Journey is to share my walk with friends & family and friends to come! Along my journey I’ll share my thoughts; things learned as a child, wife – in an unequally yoked marriage, parent, sister, sufferer of depression, friend… book reviewsmusic and Bible studies! I also share information on Chronic Illnesses – as more people need to be aware and informed. There are pages dedicated to my mom, as she has fibromyalgia; and a close friend of mine, Leslie, as she has Scleroderma, an auto immune disease. Sharing here anything our Father leads me to share.

I enjoy spending time with God in worship & prayer, as well as spending time with my family and friends! I have a love of reading, singing, dancing, crocheting, and creating picture graphics (mostly Scripture graphics)! I enjoy learning new skills & tend to learn quickly. I really love working at a computer and I’ve taught myself how to use several different computer programs.

  2. Thank you so much for the encouragement on my Blog! I am blessed that God has used me to connect with you. I welcome the company on my journey. That’s what we are here for, isn’t it? To encourage, support and hold up each other’s arms when we weary! I look forward to walking in the light with you, too!

    Blessings Always!

  3. I am so glad you stopped by (it was a couple of weeks ago…I’m behind on my responses!) I look forward to reading about your journey and getting to know you as a sister in Christ. 🙂

  4. Hi there!
I saw your comment on my blog and thought I’d stop in. I have been so encouraged to read your blog. I, too, have suffered from depression. It’s such a blessing to find others who are going through the same thing. I will be praying for you, Heather.

    • Sarah,
Thanks so much for stopping by, your sweet encouraging comment & prayers are greatly appreciated!
      Hugs & Prayers, HL

  5. I have a Mr Linky to add buttons if you wish. I like your blog this is wonderful.

I have one for the more spiritual side of life and another that I would like to share a bible study.

Stop by Musings of a Modern Mom and look for the list of my others.

I would like to do a link up with the Faith Lift Friday is it shareable?

    • Hey there MM!!
I’m so glad to link up together! That Mr Linky tool is great; hoping to see if it works here on WP-hosting soon! I’ve added your button to my “Friends Blogging for Christ” page & look forward to linking up with your Mr Linky tool.
As for the link up with Faith Lift Friday, I’m not sure I’m completely following you, but I used to participate in a meme of Faith-Lift Friday’s that is no longer being done by the originator. 8^( If that is what you’re wanting to link up with, we’ll not be able to, since she’s no longer hosting this meme. If this is not what you were wanting to link up with… please let me know, or maybe I’ve already done the link up by adding your button on my friends page?!?!? Just let me know!

I look forward to walking through this journey God has planned for us here in blogland! Thanks for joining me!
      Hugs & Prayers, HL

  6. Thanks for sharing your story. We have Chronic Illness in common but so glad what defines us is not illness but the healing we have in Christ.

    Blessings,

    • So True Amber… needed that reminder too!
      Thanks – Hugs, HL
