WFW Joshua 1:9

Hello everyone…

I’ve been MIA from WFW mostly this month (but GREATLY need to share today) – not having the opportunity to create Scripture pictures, so today I share a creation from RealPotential who sells custom designs for many products on Zazzle!

Joshua 1:9

Creation Credit: RealPotential

Have I not commanded you
to be strong and courageous?

Do not be afraid,
nor dismayed,
for the Lord your God
is with you
wherever you go.

I read this recently in Karol Ladd’s The Power of a Positive Woman; and greatly needed to “hear” it as I recently learned of a VERY close dear one to me is struggling with the reality of Jesus’ resurrection. I draw on this Scripture to Stand in Courage with the help of the Holy Spirit. Requesting prayers, to know the right words, be the shining light He calls me to be, and continued understanding it’s not my job to save this person –> I’m just one of God’s stepping stones!

Thank you for joining me today… I greatly appreciate

Amy @ The 160 Acre Woods continuing WFW! Each week, even if I’m not participating, I benefit from visiting others, learning so much, enjoying the sharing of God’s Word, and each time am guided to greater thoughts! Have a blessed week.

I pray you all have a Word-Filled Wednesday! If You’d like to join us for Word Filled Wednesday, post your photo and Bible verse. (or feel free to add mine to your site) Than send a link back so others can visit and have a word filled day! You can find McLinky at our hostess  Susan @  http://susan2956.blogspot.com/

next week our hostess will be Penny’ @  pennyraine.com/blog!

BibleDude.net [the Mystery of the Cross]

Join me and many others on a journey through history… of the Cross! BibleDude.net has opened the door to go through this book from April 26, 2010 to May 15, 2010!

Written by an art history teacher at a major university, The Mystery of the Cross: Bringing Ancient Christian Images to Life looks like it will provide us with a study that will surely refresh…

At the center of Christianity sits the cross of Christ. From the beginning, Christ’s followers celebrated the cross as a symbol of their faith. It was honored in church worship, carved into rough tombstones, pressed onto loaves of bread and set out as a sign of sanctuary. The cross represented what Christ believed, who they hoped for and how they approached life.

In this thoughtful book Judith Couchman takes up forty images of the cross from early Christianity. We discover their meaning and learn a little about the early church. More than that, she helps us focus on the significance of the cross and the Savior’s sacrifice.

These artful readings will enrich your understanding of Christian tradition, draw you into Christ’s presence and deepen your appreciation for the mystery of the cross.

My journey, so far, brings AWARENESS …
to a childhood of faith, surrounded by many characters
faithful & harmful

to teen years of fear, surrounded by more characters
harmful, hateful, willing,
eager, prideful, fear-filled,
thankful, helpful, YES faithful

to adulthood of wisdom, still learning & thankful for being surrounded
by even more characters of
FAITH

I’m proud to say I’m a child of God, wife, busy mom of two boys… who tries to blog – to share this journey as God leads me, while I will still stumble from time to time, and thankful He pulls me – draws me – nearer to Him each day!
